It's season finale time!
I'm currently downloading Lost, to which I am not spoilered at all!, and dying to see the House finale, to which I am spoilered completely and totally, because I just can't help myself (Chase, oh noes!). The Grey's Anatomy finale was blah (quite predictable), and I still have to see the Desperate Housewives one too: because I can't see them on TV I have to wait for my comp to download them all; and it's already full to capacity. Why am I watching so many shows? I'll actually be sort of glad for the breather that is summer stop (and to catch up on older seasons of shows which I've never seen, like I'm currently doing with Gilmore Girls, season 1-4.
Anyway, I've seen lots of reference to Heroes, so I decided to load it up too, and I. Am. Hooked! This show is great! I've seen up to ep 17 now, and am dying to finish the season!
Mohinder is the most beautiful man currently on TV. Too bad his storyline is such a drag; although getting more drive since he hooked up with Sylar. My favourite character is Peter though, he is just the right kind of pretty/emo/angsty/hero/powerful as I like them... although the darker side he's exhibiting now that his powers are starting to escalate is great. I was getting worried that Peter was going to go villain, but then remembered the moment with future!sumurai!Hiro (which actually spoils quite a bit). Hiro almost didn't recognise Peter without a scar over his face, which means that 1. Peter will at some point lose (some or all of) his powers: he won't heal this scar with the powers he got from Claire.
2. Hiro will be friends or acquainted with Peter (they haven't met yet, will this happen before Peter "explodes", around 6 epi's from now? If they don't meet up until then, Peter will survive, and probably be on the good side.
3. I doubt Hiro is going samurai before some time yet (he seemed older and more sure of himself than he would likely be in the 6 remaining epi's; confirming that Peter and Hiro will survive past the bomb. Thank god. I love Hiro too. But we do know he will live at least to become the person who Peter meets in that subway.
Perhaps the bomb won't be Peter after all (shows like these like twists). I do hope for a showdown between Peter and Sylar though, that could be spectacular. I wonder how Peter will lose his powers... perhaps he'll burn out? He is becoming too much of a deus ex machina now (though pretty awesome ;)). However, I hope he won't lose it all.
I also love Claire. I rather liked the Peter/Claire chemistry until I found out she's fifteen and he's her uncle! Oh well, I'm sure fanfic can find it's ways. I wouldn't mind Peter/Mohinder either. I'll have to go look after I finish the season. I don't want to be spoiled! How sad was it when Mr Bennet asked the Haitian to wipe his mind for her... I never thought I could ever come to like him, but this scene squeezed some tears from me. I don't much care for Niki/Jessica, DL and Maica; and Matt could use some momentum too... but the show is so spead out, it's never dull. I love it! I'm going to continue watching right now. :)
