I'm late catching up on this, but still... Nooo!!
First of, the poor man. That's awful news for him and his wife. I do know how it feels (so I don't want to go into it much).
But speaking from an entirely selfish perspective... I always worried something might happen to Jordan before he finished his series. I do hope he'll get to write it to its end (while still enjoying doing so). It's so close to the finish, and I love these books so dearly, and I've been reading them and waiting for them for over 10 years! I hope it gets wrapped up as intended. Now that HP failed me, I don't want to lose WoT too!
