Ah, HP and the Death of Imagination continues!

J.K. Rowling: Ron had finally got SPEW and earned himself a snog!

Not wanting all the elves to be murdered, that's great. Did Ron ever say that he wished elves had the right to be free: free from slavery and free to earn wages? Because that's SPEW.

J.K. Rowling: Hermione began her post-Hogwarts career at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures where she was instrumental in greatly improving life for house-elves and their ilk. She then moved (despite her jibe to Scrimgeour) to the Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement where she was a progressive voice who ensured the eradication of oppressive, pro-pureblood laws.

Wow. Hermione frees the elves, changed the Ministry and the law. She did all this while pregnant with two babies and raising a family. I bet she can bake a killer cake while saving a kitten too.

Kingsley became permanent Minister for Magic, and naturally he wanted Harry to head up his new Auror department.

Gah. Why? JKR please go read Greengecko's trilogy and learn some development. It can't all just be this easy! There has to be some part of it that feels real or logical.

J.K. Rowling: Griphook was wrong – Gryffindor did not ‘steal’ the sword, not unless you are a goblin fanatic and believe that all goblin-made objects really belong to the maker.

Obviously Goblins are ridiculous creatures with ridiculous customs, especially when it concerns an allmighty Gryffindor, who can impossibly do wrong in the world.

J.K. Rowling: Dumbledore understood Ron’s importance in the trio. He wasn’t the most skilled, or the most intelligent, but he held them together; his humour and his good heart were essential.

Er, isn't Ron the one who continues to drive the trio apart, as he is always the one to quit, leave or send someone crying? o_O Wasn't Hermione the glue? Harry himself maybe by bringing them together in the first place? Ron? What canon is this?

J.K. Rowling: Eventually, but it left a few scars. I loathe a traitor!

Poor sixteen year old Marietta who saved her mother from getting fired and her family from losing their income in the face of threatening school authority. Boo, JKR.

I guess this sort of Q/A is nice for the kids. But I still feel they should be able to make up their own mind as to how they would envision the trio's future. I loathe this black-and-white Disney ending for everyone and their little dog which is far too ridiculous to connect to anyone as remotely real or gratifying.

Yeah, right?

Ron the glue? Ron the unglued maybe. Sure DD knew Ron would need a light to come back, it was quite obvious he was going to quit again: he does it all the time.

He even quit George and the business to become an auror under Harry if JKR's incoherent ramblings are to be taken for granted. ;)
